If you’re contemplating whether to go for a Gibson or a Fender, I bet the prospect of strumming 6 strings attached to a body of ice never crossed your mind.
But that’s exactly the way they roll at the The Ice Music Festival.
The imaginative people of Norway embrace their global positioning and work with the cold temperatures to produce things from ice that would make us Brits blush with shame at our woeful attempts at slushy looking snowmen. The Norwegians have taken ice sculptures to the next level and made them into instruments, exploring sound in ways just not possible in a dry, warm studio.
