Mobo Awards ’16

It’s a week away from the MOBO awards and after seeing the pre MOBO award event last night along with the great list of nominees this year we thought we would do a post on the MOBO’s.

Founded in 1996, the MOBO Organisation was established to recognise the outstanding achievements of artists who perform music in genres ranging from Gospel, Jazz, RnB, Soul, Reggae to Hip Hop. MOBO has played an instrumental role in elevating black music and culture to mainstream popular status in the UK over the past 20 years.

This year’s MOBO annual awards will be hosted on the 4th November in Glasgow and is looking to be a night full of exciting performances from Craig David, Tinie Tempah, Chase & Status and Anne-Marie. This year marks the 21st anniversary of the awards and when looking at the nomination it is clear to see the rise of the UK urban music scene.

We are looking forward to see the winners of this year’s awards and would like to highlight some of the nominated artists that we feel deserve recognition:

NAO – Nominated for Best Female Act
