Apple has a great music strategy especially when it comes to advertising the online streaming app ‘Apple Music’. How can we forgot the hilarious Apple Music advert earlier this year featuring a spritely Taylor Swift on a running machine singing along to Jumpman by Drake.
Since the commercial series premiered back in April the minute-long advert has racked over 20 million global views on YouTube and had shown a sparked a large uptick in domestic streams and sales of the song.
Fast forward to November and Apple Music are back with another genius campaign. This time we see Drake working out hard while singing along to … Yep you guessed it Taylor Swift (Bad blood). Both adverts have a similar formula and makes the audience revisit already released tracks. The Streams of Jumpmans after the premier of this ad went up 17% . The song then rebounded 32-23 on the Hot 100 chart back in April 23.
To some up, Apple music know what they are doing when it comes to advertising and also increases revenue from themselves and artist on the app. We are looking forward to see what Apple Music has in-store for their next campaign.
